Aesop Queer Library

LGBTQIA+ books to cherish, share and discuss.

Another year for the Aesop’s Queer Library is here, returning to Aesop Sydney and Aesop Collin’s street during Australia’s pride 2023 celebrations. A beautiful and global initiative by Aesop, the brand gave away over 34,000 books in 2022, and seeks to champion historically marginalised voices by highlighting a selection of 45 titles which explore BIPOC, trans and gender-non-conforming perspectives.

During the week-long event, Aesop will be removing all products from their shelves and replacing them with selected books purchased from queer, independent and local bookstores. Visitors will be able to collect a complimentary volume of their choice (with no purchase required) in Melbourne from the 1st-8th of February and Sydney from 22 February to 1 March. Some of our tops picks include: Brooke Blurton’s Big Love, Shannon Malloy’s You made me this Way, Deni Todorovič’s Love this for you, Omar Sakr’s Son of Sin and Nevo Zisin’s The Pronoun Lowdown.

Visit Aesop Collins Street, Melbourne | 1st Feb - 8th Feb or Aesop Pitt Street, Sydney | 22nd Feb - 1st Mar and pick up a publication of choice.
