An Artists Statement – Song Setthasit

“In Transit is a visual reflection on the off-beat, in-between moments of navigating through a big city and how it’s such an organised chaos where you constantly cross paths with strangers yet remain so subconsciously connected to everyone around you. After recently moving to London, I found myself really fascinated by the way people carry themselves so individualistically here and I think it stems from how the city’s so diverse, allowing for this effortless, unapologetic attitude, which is so empowering to be around. There’s really a raw beauty in the way London operates a nomadic, fast-paced choreography that feels both detached and deeply human. Curated and captured by a team of individuals who have each migrated to London from different parts of the world, this editorial invites viewers to people-watch with us in the buzz of the city. As we follow each girl’s journey through the city, we aim to honour the fleeting moments that are often overlooked - the pauses, the glances, the blur between destinations.
